Refugee Welfare Fraternity (RWF) was founded in 2022 in Kyangwali refugee settlement with the aim of promoting growth to resilience, eradicating dependence syndrome and promote growth and self-reliance among refugees in Uganda aligning with the Settlement Transformation Agenda (STA). The current massive influx of refugees in Uganda constitute a big burden to UNHCR, its implementing partners and to the World Food Program (WFP). Yet once refugees support one-another through various activities the burden can be light and refugees can learn and apply different life skills for growth, self-reliance and heal form trauma and become independent.
Mission To integrate livelihood and psychosocial support to promote emotional, psychological, mental and physical healing and eradicate dependence syndrome among refugees.
Vision A self-reliant refugee community with the ability to cope adaptively with daily stress of life and independently manage their problems.
