Our Vision, Mission and Values

Refugee Welfare Fraternity (RWF) was founded in 2022 in Kyangwali refugee settlement with the aim of promoting growth to resilience, eradicating dependence syndrome and promote growth and self-reliance among refugees in Uganda aligning with the Settlement Transformation Agenda (STA). The current massive influx of refugees in Uganda constitute a big burden to UNHCR, its implementing partners and to the World Food Program (WFP). Yet once refugees support one-another through various activities the burden can be light and refugees can learn and apply different life skills for growth, self-reliance and heal form trauma and become independent.

Mission
To integrate livelihood and psychosocial support to promote emotional, psychological, mental and physical healing and eradicate dependence syndrome among refugees.

Vision
A self-reliant refugee community with the ability to cope adaptively with daily stress of life and independently manage their problems.
